If you don't know who Ikimono Gakari is, she is the singer of several anime OPs like Naruto Shippuden's BlueBird or Bleach's Hanabi.

Big Bang coming back in NOVEMBER~!!!

Big Bang will be ending their 3rd minialbum activities. And after their Japanese promotional activities, Big Bang will be back in Korea in November for their official album release.

Big Bang will officially end their 3rd minialbum ‘Stand Up’ activities on MBC Music Core on 27th September, they will be performing ‘Haru Haru’ and ‘Heaven’. ‘Stand Up’ has been well received by music fans especially for their title song ‘Haru Haru’.

YG Entertainment said, “All this while, there has been endless requests by fans for them to perform ‘Heaven’, hence they will be performing the song for the first time on their goodbye stage.”

What is next for Big Bang will be their preparation for their Japan concert tour and their official album.

Meanwhile, Big Bang will be releasing their first official Japanese album ‘Number 1′ on 22nd October which will include 6 songs. Big Bang will be back in Korea only in November after their Japanese album release and their Japanese concert tour.

Police arrived on the scene of a woman next to a stabbed man in the middle of the road.
The woman was arrested for attempted murder.

During questioning, the woman named herself as a manga artist "Kobayashi Miki" [小林美樹] aged 31.
She said that when the man said that he wanted to break up with her, she got mad and stabbed him.

Interest in TVXQ’s 4th album “MIROTIC” becomes hotter with every day. Its planned release date is September 24. Included in this album are the reverse beat dance song ‘주문-MIROTIC,’ which has a sophisticated melody and intoxicating chorus, and ballad, R&B, acid jazz, remakes, and more that makes a variety of 12 songs.

Two TVXQ members have participated in writing the songs. Junsu wrote ‘노을.. 바라보다’ (Look at.. the Sunset), a ballad which showcases TVXQ’s vocals, and is about wanting to protect your girl with your heart. It has impressive and emotional lyrics. From their 3rd Japanese album “T,” ChangMin wrote the Korean version lyrics to the heart-wrenching ballad song ‘Love in the Ice.’

This 4th album shows TVXQ in attractive, new, diverse songs. The sophisticated ‘Wrong Number’ has grooves with a dark, mysterious atmosphere that features for the first time JaeJoong’s rap.

With an electronic beat and strings’ harmonic melody, ‘CRAZY LOVE,’ written by famous lyricist Kim Young Hoo, is about a man who doesn’t want to give up on the woman he loves, and makes a pledge. In addition, Lee Yong’s hit song ‘잊혀진 계절’ (Forgotten Season) in the 1980s will be newly made into JaeJoong’s solo, which will expose it to the younger generation.

The title song ‘주문-MIROTIC’ will be available to the public on all music sites on September 19. On the 21st in front of City Hall, TVXQ will have their first 4th album promotional activity in their “Dong Bang Shin Ki Autumn Mini Concert.”

Popular group Dong Bang Shin Ki is back for their first public 4th album showcase on September 21. In front of the Seoul City Hall Plaza, they will take their first stage in performing the title song. This showcase concert will also air in early October on the SBS ‘Dong Bang Shin Ki Comeback Special’ that will broadcast.

This is Dong Bang Shin Ki’s next album since their 3rd album a year and seven months ago, with their showcase on the 21st and promotion activities starting September 28 on SBS ‘Inkigayo.’

Boy shoots classmate in the face with arrow

A boy of 15 was expelled from school after mucking around and shooting his classmate in the face with an arrow during archery. The victim sustained major wounds. The school said that this was clearly an "anti social act."

However, the boy who was expelled has decided to sue the school and asked the school to take him back on board saying that "an accident cant be called anti social" and that "the victim has not requested that I be expelled."

Two years after their “O-Union” album, TVXQ is now finally set to release their 4th Korean album!

Amazingly, on the first day, according to SM Entertainment, the number of people that pre-ordered the album broke records. Reportedly the pre-orders were already a whopping 200,000 just on the first day. When TVXQ released their first album (Tri-Angle), it was only 10,000. During their second album (Rising Sun), they got 130,000 pre-orders. On their 3rd album “O-Union” pre-orders on the first 2 days reached 100,000.

TVXQ has been a very busy group. They have been concentrating in Japan for almost a year or two and their popularity has truly skyrocketed across Asia, making international music audiences curious. Now that their 4th album is set for release, not only their Korean fans, but also International fans, are buying the album.

Fans across Korea have been waiting for TVXQ to make a comeback in their homeland. These Korean fans have been anticipating an album release since last year. That much wait must have been frustrating. But fans still show their support and love despite it all. In fact their support seem to have gotten even bigger.

It is expected that TVXQ will take home some prestigious awards by the end of 2008. According to our source, last year’s Golden Disk Awards top record was 150,000 record sales. But now that TVXQ has already received a big 200,000 pre-orders on the first day, what more when the album is officially released? It is predicted that their record sales might even reach to 500,000 or more!

The 4th album release is set for September 2008. TVXQ is now currently busy recording songs for the new album. Fans have been spotting them in and out of SM Entertainment’s office for the past weeks. Reportedly, TVXQ will be releasing a Korean version of their Japanese song Kiss mini coopera Mama Sayonara (As We Kissed Goodbye), which was written and composed by TVXQ members, Micky Yoochun and Hero Jaejoong collaborated on this song.

Indeed, TVXQ is becoming better and better as they grow with their music. They have proved that they deserve more than be called “idols” in Korea. And we already know that they have become more than that.

As summer draws to an end, a bunch of matsuri ( festivals ) are taking place all over Japan. One place i would love to go for the yearly matsuri would be the one at Washinomiya Shrine. Now, you may be curious about the picture above. The huge wooden house-on-sticks is more accurately called a Shinyo, which is believed to be the house for gods. Lucky Star fans (like me) should be proud to know that this attraction increased the attendance to the festival to 50,000 people ( 20,000 more than last year).

3rd mini album STAND UP

Bigbang’s mini album [Stand Up] release date has been moved back from Aug. 1, to Aug 8. T T

This was not intended but it’ll come out same day as the first day of Olymics (08.08.08). another funny fact is that Bigbang’s leader G-Dragon was born when 88 Olympic started Aug 18, 1988.
There are too many eights to say that it was not intended, right? haha

It was hard to make this album because of the love bigbang received before. Bigbang’s [LIE] and [LAST FAREWELL] has topped the charts for six months so we were burden to make this album even better.
But through the efforts of all the Bigbang members and the ‘alien’ producer G-Dragon, we are very happy with the results.

Even though it was a big hit, there were a lot of talks about the song [LIE] T T
so we thought ‘If that kind of rumor is going to spread, why not just work with the person who they thought we copied’ so we produced with (DAISH DANCE) and as a result, we produced a song called [HARU HARU].

[HARU HARU] is a ’shibuyakay’ genre produced by ‘DAISH DANCE’, and melody, rap, and lyrics written by G-Dragon. The fast rhythm of the piano is really addicting and it feels continued from the song [LIE] but since the lyrics and the melody gives the song a sad mood, it gives more of a sensuous impression.

For the title song [HARU HARU] music video, producer Cha Eun-Tek who produced [LIE] will be doing it…and the music video for [OH MY FRIEND] contributed by ‘NO BRAIN’ will be done by producer Suh Hyun-Sung who produced Taeyang’s [PRAYER]. Both music videos will be released Aug. 8th.

It was a different experience working with ‘DAISH DANCE’ and ‘NO BRAIN’ Bigbang’s not a group who goes with one genre so we are planning to work with other singers of various genre in the future.

Other than the title song [HARU HARU] and [OH MY FRIEND], i believe that [HEAVEN] will be a hit too, also produced with DAISH DANCE.

We are debating on whether or not to have [HEAVEN] as second title song or to release another mini album around october. I’ll have to think this over.

Bigbang’s first performance will be Aug. 10th at ‘ SBS INKIGAYO’. (since MBC music core on the 9th is a filmed beforehand stage, we’re not able comeback then) bangee’s~ let’s do it again~!! ^^

Music Station Refuses to invite Tohoshinki

S-San (one of the Japanese staff members of Tohoshinki) made a recent post in his blog confirming the rumours about Music Station's refusal to invite DBSK into their program.

Many fans have been speculating for quite some time the reason why DBSK never appeared on the show, especially with the recent #1 on weekly Oricon (their third one, which broke a record as foreign artist with three #1s). DBSK has been consistently in the top 10 weekly in Japanese Oricon charts with their singles and last album. Music Station usually invites singers in top 10 in Oricon atleast once to perform. However, this has not been the case with DBSK, as S-San points out even with the insistence of the company to let them on fairly.

Their lack of promotions in such a major show as Music Station has become jarringly apparent and discussion spring up everytime they release a single as to why they are still not invited. Majority say that its because of Johnny's Entertainment stronghold on Music Station, pointing out that no bands/artists that posed a threat to that agency have ever been invited.

S-San never expicitly states the show's name, however he mentions that Tohoshinki was on the show's #1 list this week, yet still weren't given the chance to perform.

The post also explains the lack of sales of the group, owing to the fact that they are still placed in Foreign Artist category in music stores even though they should be under Jpop. Fans who recently visited Japan confirmed this. They all found it quite hard to find Tohoshinki's CDs in stores, sometimes they were not there at all. Many times, they were put under K-pop or foriegn artists section. So this really explains why sales get poor after promotions stop ... their CDs aren't in visible places for someone just browsing the jpop section can pick up and see.

I was wondering how S-San posted about this sticky topic, knowing how hush-hush Japan usually is about these matters. He sounds frustrated, and is probably making his last desperate attempt to try to change the situation - by letting fans know what we all sort of feared existed behind the scenes (of the group not exactly getting equal oppotunity), isn't going away anytime soon. But he urges fan and says that "...the store's customers will have the most impact". The fans in Japan must speak up to store managers about DBSK's CDs being put under "Foreign Artist" section instead of where they rightfully should be - under JPOP.

Brief summary/translation of his post:
He hasn't written in a while. It's been really hot in Japan and he's been thinking about various things when working.
The boys wonderfully reached #1 in the weekly singles chart with the fans' strong support.
Also the members are really happy, and their self-confidence has been boosted.

The TV-promotion continues busy this week. They're being in more shows than ever before this time, they're for the first time in 「THE M」 and 「CDTV」.

Of course the promotion-team is striving for the best possible set-up in the stores (but obviously, so are all of the other artists' promotors as well).
It depends on every store (chain) where they put the releases; and some of the stores have the Tohoshinki in the "Foreign acts" -section instead of "Jpop".
The store's bought the CDs so naturally they can advertise it how they want to and how they think it will sell the best.

They've been trying to have some type of an agreement on this, but especially now when they changed the release date for "Kimisuki" in such a short notice, it became even harder to get the majority of the shops to put the single in the Jpop-section instead of Foreign acts.
It's better when you have time to talk to the stores way before the release and assure things, because all the things are mostly decided abour 6 months before the release already. So a date-change doesn't make things easier at all.
So they had to cancel the space reserved for the CDs in the stores for the original release week, and ask for another setting for the new week.
Of course that messes up the stores' plans and they have to be quick and get a Plan B up. And most of them decided to give the maximum exposure by putting Kimisuki in the foreign-shelves.
-more stuff about the Jpop- and world-corners in the shops-
Tohoshinki will continue releasing Jpop (with good results).

They hope that the fans will understand the managing team and the stores' policies. The team will keep working and he believes that the sales will do well during the next few weeks.

He apologizes for the long entry, but thinks that it will be useful for the people interested in the music industry in general.

On the 16th, the group Dong Bang Shin Ki (aka Tohoshinki) released their 23rd Japanese single and received No.1 in the Oricon Daily Single Charts for the 4th time.
On the afternoon of the 16th, Dong Bang Shin Ki topped the Oricon Daily Single Charts on the day that their single was released. This means that, in the 3 years that the group was working in Japan, Dong Bang Shin Ki has received No.1 in the Oricon Daily Single Charts for the 4th time.
The title song 'Why Have I Fallen for You?' and 'Box in the Ship' were both included in the single that was released today. The pleasant ballad, 'Why Have I Fallen for You' was commented to have been a good expression of one's feelings for a special person.

Yes, Omg.

A recent check of different games led me to Runescape, where discovered the major changes it went through. And believe me, it's disturbing.

Member's service gets all the way-exaggerated good stuff. Their places are so game-like now. It's so unfair =.= Non-members still have their old version where everything's so crappy that it makes ppl wish they were Members. That's probably what they do for money. I'll dive in deeper.

In the end, I checked Photobucket, and everyone still looks the same, just the place looks weird. It's all...different. There's even shadows under the palm trees in the desert. Wow. But it still sucks to me.

It turns out, that whilist eating dinner last night, an amazing commercial appeared in front of my TV, made by none other than Square Enix! (Yes, I adore S.E.)

The new game's called Fantasy Earth Zero, which in an ONLINE GAME (mmorpg too, meaning you see other characters)for FREE~! Damn it. I wanna play so bad. But the versions are in Chinese and Japanese, so those who can't read are officially out of the game for now, unless they can theorize. Me, nearly illiterate in Chinese, has no choice to theorize. Big Bang will be releasing their new minialbum on 1st August.
A representative of YG Entertainment had announced on 12th June. It was also revealed that members GDragon and TOP had done some of the compositions and lyrics making of the album.
“Due to the telecast of the Beijing Olympics during that period of time, many TV music broadcasting programs will not be aired. And it will be the time of the time where companies will avoid the releasing of new albums. But this time, Big Bang’s minialbum “Oh My Friend” will goes well with the Beijing Olympic theme, so we went ahead to schedule the release of the album in August.”
Many should have observed that there are no special featuring for all Big Bang albums so far, but this time, for “Oh My Friend“, member G-Dragon had specially met up with and is working with other singers for the songs in the album.
“G-Dragon and TOP had helped out a lot with the main producing. Out of the 6 tracks, GDragon did lyrics for 5, and TOP in one of the songs. Both of them also helped out with composing of the songs. And by the way, Lightning and Storm? That's probably not their real names, but it's a possibility. That's what everyone just calls them for now, but I think they just did it because it matches with the "lightning storm cloud" thing. After all, Lightning's based as a female version of Cloud. Anime/Manga

Hello everyone, (actually, I dun think anyone's reading this but then again, my paranoia is fairly high)

So this is Luci here with an update. I'd recently discovered a few manga that seemed pretty interesting.

World Embryo
Snow in the Dark (3rd chapter: tragic)
Claymore (always loved this)
Godchild (shoujo gothic. actually...shonen ai but my favorite manga)
Alichino

They're really great mangas that you can discover on http://www.mangafox.com/ or http://www.onemanga.com/. If you cannot handle tragedies such as character death or extreme violence, I suggest you read none of the suggested. They all contain the least bit violence (and some limb cutting) so with the exception to Alichino, I advise you don't read it.

In addition, there is an update to the original series of Code Geass known as Code Geass R2. Why "r2"? I dunno, but it's as great as the first season. Be prepared to face interesting strategies that Lelouch and C.C. come up with and some other things I don't plan to leak out. >D

But anyways, enjoy your summer holiday with these updates we provide you. I'll try to update my part of the blog someday when possible. Maybe today.

i just found a new manga that i love~<3
i personally recommend this manga for those who are romantic at heart
be warned, it is a shoujou manga
and there is a transvestite involved too!
it is a complicated love manga
and im not sure it is complete yet, but if it is~
T^T im really sad! it has a cliffy ending so
i hope the mangaka can continue drawing~!

Hi. Wadashiwa Luci-chan. Since the other topics were taken due to my lack of participation, I guess I really don't have any choices to go. As much as I'd love to do Tales of Pirates (my pc is also called 'Lucietta'), I can't. Also, I'm not a fan of Gackt-sama really, so my kingdom consists of: Anime/Manga (any we happen to currently fancy), The World Ends With You (or Final Fantasy VII). And..er...I just noticed we each posted on the three consecutive months of spring season.
